June 4 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 0930 GMT on Thursday:
** U.S. investment firm Castlelake is looking at MSC, the world's largest shipping group, as a partner in a consortium for a potential takeover bid on British budget airline easyJet EZJ.L, Italian daily Corriere della Sera reported.

** Japan's Yamada Holdings <9831.T> and Edion <2730.T> said that they plan to merge, aiming to create a giant consumer electronics chain with combined sales of around $16 billion.

** Canadian power producer TransAlta Corp <TA.TO> said on Wednesday it will acquire two natural gas-fired peaking facilities near Denver, Colorado, from Blackstone <BX.N> for about $1 billion, strengthening its presence in the Western U.S. power market.
