The Today Page
At the top of the main Stockopedia navigation bar, you’ll find the Today page. This is the main homepage and it’s your launchpad for exploring many of the tools and features that you’ll find around the site. It’s also where you’ll find the latest news and performance details from your portfolio and across the market.
Let’s dive in...
Alerts & Articles
At the very top of the Today page you’ll find your Alerts notifications. Here, you’ll see Alerts that have either been triggered or are still waiting, as well as the option to create a new alert.
Markets & Market Statistics
Next, you’ll find the latest data from the main market indices, together with some key market statistics. This data is tailored to your subscription plan.
You can click between the main indices to see multi-timescale price charts, fundamental and technical highlights.
Index technicals provides a graphical display of the number of Advancers and Decliners, the number of new 52 Week Highs and Lows and the number of stocks trading above and below their 200-day Moving Averages.
Index statistics provides three key index measures, including:
- The median forecast Price Earnings Ratio of all stocks with estimates
- The median forecast Dividend Yield of all dividend payers
- The median forecast Earnings Growth of all stocks with estimates
We've also included the biggest daily risers and fallers for each index, with the table showing the top five stocks based on percentage price change, together with their StockRanks. In addition, you can click through from the Advancers/Decliners table to the StockReports of the top five names, plus access full index lists that are sorted by the day's biggest risers and fallers.
Research
Below the Markets, you’ll find the latest relevant articles from our editorial team, dependant on your subscription. From here you can go direct to all of the Discussions currently going on in the membership community. This is also where you can begin exploring our library of educational articles and research.
Most Viewed StockReports
This widget lists a curated selection of reports that have received significant attention from our community over the last day and 7 day time period.
These reports can serve as an excellent starting point for your investment exploration, providing a convenient shortcut to identify stocks with recent impactful news.
The data you see will be dependant on your focus mode.
- If you have your focus mode set to UK or Europe: This widget will rank the most viewed StockReports daily and over the last week, tapping into the deep expertise of our community.
- If you have your focus mode set to the US or Australasia: Due to fewer users in these specific regions, we will display data for the most popular stock reports from the last week.
- If you have your focus mode set to Canada, India, or Developed Asia: We are actively working on gathering data for these regions and hope to include them in this feature in the future.
News & My Folios
Further down, you’ll find the Today news feed, which consists of two tabs - one for your Folio holdings news and one for general news from the market.
By clicking a news link, you’ll be taken to the article in the main news section of the company’s StockReport. There, you’ll not only get the article that you clicked, but you’ll also see a list of all the recent news from that stock as well.
In addition to Folio news, this section of the Today page also includes a snapshot of your Folios. Click between your different folio names to get updated charts and performance details. Or click See All to go straight to the main Folio management area.
StockRank Movers & Performance
Next, you’ll find the StockRank Movers section, where you’ll find snapshot views of some of the main strategies built around Stockopedia’s StockRanks and StockRank Styles. In this section you’ll also find the main StockRanks performance chart - and options to explore the StockRanks further.
Featured Videos & Help Guides
Finally, towards the bottom of the Today page you’ll find some of our popular featured videos - and links to many more. These include guides to Stockopedia features, as well as webinar presentations from Stockopedia’s CEO, Ed Croft. You’ll also find links to a range of other getting started guides to help you explore the site.
