Profile Summary
Aksys, Ltd. manufactures an automated personal hemodialysis system for patients suffering from end stage renal disease(chronic kidney failure). Patients are able to perform hemodialysis in a self- care setting on a daily basis. The Company's product is a computerized product that has an integrated automatic disinfection system. The patient can also be monitored by a treatment clinic via a real-time, on-line monitoring system. The system can evaluate prior to each treatment the amount of toxins being removed to ensure that the prescribed dose of hemodialysis is achieved.
