Profile Summary
Allegra Orthopaedics Limited is an Australia-based company engaged in the design and distribution of orthopedic products. It is focused on developing and commercializing medical devices to generate a pipeline of new products at various stages of development. It operates in two segments: Orthopaedics division, and Innovation division. The Orthopaedics division offers a range of orthopedic implant products and surgical instrumentation from Australian and international suppliers covering all specialties from foot and ankle, primary hip and knee, to complex lower limb revision, arthroplasty and tumor solutions. The Innovation division is focused on commercialization of a cervical spinal fusion cage developed from the biocompatible ceramic material, Sr-HT-Gahnite. The Sr-HT-Gahnite is a porous and biocompatible calcium silicate. The applications for the Sr-HT-Gahnite include fixation screws that secure ligaments to the bone, a coating material along with a coating manufacturing process.
