European Energy Exchange AG is a Germany-based energy trading platform. On the platform contracts for power, coal and emission allowances, as well as freight and agricultural products are traded or registered for clearing. Various products can be traded on the platform: The power spot market for Germany, France, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom is operated by EPEX SPOT; the natural gas spot and derivatives markets are operated by Power next under the PEGAS brand; on the spot and derivatives markets of the Company trading participants can trade in EU Emission Allowances (EUA), EU Aviation Allowances (EUAA), as well as Certified Emission Reductions (CER), and on the dairy market financially settled futures on butter, skimmed milk powder and whey powder can be traded.
