Profile Summary
Grayscale Near Trust (Near) (the Trust) is an investment vehicle that enables investors to gain exposure to the token underlying the NEAR platform (NEAR) in the form of a security while avoiding the challenges of buying, storing, and safekeeping NEAR directly. The Trust’s investment objective is for the value of the Shares (based on NEAR per Share) to reflect the value of the NEAR held by the Trust, determined by reference to the Reference Rate Price, less the Trust’s expenses and other liabilities. NEAR is a digital asset that is created and transmitted through the operations of the peer-to-peer Near Network, a decentralized network of computers that operates on cryptographic protocols. The Near Network allows people to exchange tokens of value, called NEAR, which are recorded on a public transaction ledger known as a blockchain. Grayscale Investments, LLC (GSI), the sponsor of the Trust.
