Profile Summary
Imperial Petroleum Inc. is a ship-owning company. The Company is a provider of international seaborne transportation services to oil producers, refineries, commodities traders, and producers, as well as industrial users of drybulk cargoes. The Company owned and operated a fleet of five medium range (MR) refined petroleum product tankers that carry refined petroleum products such as gasoline, diesel, fuel oil and jet fuel, as well as edible oils and chemicals, one Aframax tanker and two Suezmax tankers that carry crude oil and four handysize drybulk carriers that transport major bulks such as iron ore, coal and grains and minor bulks such as bauxite, phosphate, and fertilizers. The total cargo carrying capacity of its ten-vessel fleet is 807,804 deadweight tons (dwt). Its subsidiaries include Volume Jet Trading Inc., Nirvana Product Trading Inc., King of Hearts Inc., Raw Commodities and Exports Inc., Dry Bulk International Trading and Shipping Inc., and Tankpunk Inc., among others.
