Local Corporation is a technology and advertising company that provides its search results to consumers who are searching online for local businesses, products and services. The Company's search results consist primarily of local business listings that the Company aggregates, indexes, normalizes and syndicates using its technology platforms. The Company operates in two segments: Paid Search and Daily Deals. The Paid Search segment consists of its online businesses that collectively reach customers with a range of local online advertising products and Web hosting. The Daily Deals segment consists of its business that reaches its customers with discounted offers for goods and services provided by merchants. Its principal products include its Local.com Website and its search syndication services, which provide either hosted business or product directories, as well as display and ad fee solutions to a network of partner Websites.
