Profile Summary
POET Biorefining - Chancellor, LLC, formerly Great Plains Ethanol, LLC, is a producer of ethanol and other biorefined products. The Company provides development, design, engineering, construction, management and marketing for its plant network. The Company's products include biofuels, which include corn-based ethanol and cellulosic ethanol; food and feed, which include Dakota Gold, a distillers dried grains with soluble (DDGS); oil and lubricants, which include Voila, an industrial and feed grade corn oil derived from POET BPX dry mill ethanol process, and specialty chemicals, which include INVIZ, a non-toxic edible protein product that is extracted from its ethanol fermentation process and is used as a bio-based alternative for industrial applications related to food and pharmaceuticals, pulp and paper, paints and coatings and specialty films markets. Through its joint venture with Royal DSM N.V., it also operates a commercial-scale cellulosic ethanol plant in Emmetsburg, Iowa.
