Profile Summary
Rare Foods Australia Limited is engaged in the deployment, harvesting, processing and distribution of the Greenlip abalone from the ocean ranching operation, on the Company’s purpose-built reef in Flinders Bay, Augusta Western Australia. Its principal activities include maintenance of the reef; processing, and packaging; optimization of existing operations; research and development focused on juvenile survival and improved abalone growth rates, and the design, construction and development of the Augusta retail outlet. The Company, through its purpose-built artificial abalone reefs (ABITATS), supplies commercial quantities of its Marine Stewardship Council certified ranched Greenlip Abalone to local and overseas customers. Its products include Two Oceans Wild Greenlip Abalone products, which are wild caught Greenlip Abalone, and Two Oceans Wild Roei Abalone products, which are sourced from its local shallower reefs of Western Australia down to South Australia.
