Profile Summary
Start Scientific, Inc. is an oil and gas exploration and development company. The Company's principal business is the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas interests. It has two separate one-fourth working interests in certain oil and gas leases covering the Board of Education No. 6 Well located in Yazoo County, Mississippi (Pickens). The Pickens Field is located about 35 miles north of Jackson, Mississippi, in Madison and Yazoo Counties. Pickens Field has produced approximately 20,441,487 barrels of oil from the Eutaw Wilburn sand, approximately 2,000,000 barrels of oil from the Selma Chalk, and approximately 100,000 barrels of oil from the Tuscaloosa and Lower Cretaceous. Other producing oil fields in the region are the Bentonia and Flora oil fields, which are about 21 miles to the southwest.
