Profile Summary
Genel Energy plc is a United Kingdom-based independent oil and gas exploration and production company with production assets in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq and exploration assets in Oman and Somaliland. The Company operates through two segments: Production and Pre-production. The Production segment comprises the producing fields on the Tawke PSC (Tawke and Peshkabir), which are located in the KRI and make sales predominantly to the KRG. The Pre-production segment is comprised of exploration activities, principally located in Somaliland and Oman. The Company holds a 25% working interest in Tawke PSC, located in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The Company holds approximately 51% and 50% working interests in SL10B13 and Odewayne blocks, all located in Somaliland. It holds a 40% working interest in Block 54 (the Karawan Concession), located on the eastern side of the South Oman Salt Basin and immediately adjacent to existing production activities.
