Profile Summary
American National Bankshares Inc. is a multi-state bank holding company. American National Bank and Trust Company (the Bank) is the banking subsidiary of the Company. The Bank is a community bank serving Virginia and North Carolina with 26 banking offices. The Bank also manages additional trust, investment, and brokerage assets in its Wealth Division. Its segments include community banking and wealth management. The community banking segment involves making loans to and generating deposits from individuals and businesses. The wealth management segment includes estate planning, trust account administration, investment management, and retail brokerage. Investment management includes purchasing equity, fixed income, and mutual fund investments for customer accounts. The Bank provides an array of financial products and services, including commercial, mortgage, and consumer banking; trust and investment services; and insurance. The Bank also offers online banking and telephone banking.
