Profile Summary
AutoNation, Inc., through its subsidiaries, is an automotive retailer in the United States. The Company’s segments include Domestic, Import, Premium Luxury, and AutoNation Finance. Its Domestic segment consists of retail automotive franchises that sell new vehicles manufactured by General Motors, Ford, Mazda and Stellantis, among others. Its Import segment consists of retail automotive franchises that sell new vehicles manufactured primarily by Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Subaru, and Nissan, others. Its Premium Luxury segment consists of retail automotive franchises that sell new vehicles manufactured primarily by Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Audi, Lexus, and Jaguar Land Rover, others. The AutoNation Finance segment is the captive auto finance company, which provides indirect financing to qualified retail customers on vehicles. It owns and operates approximately 325 new vehicle franchises from over 245 stores located in the United States, primarily in metropolitan markets in the Sunbelt region.
