Profile Summary
BlueRock Diamonds PLC is a United Kingdom-based company, which is a producer of diamonds. The Company operates the Kareevlei Diamond mine near Kimberley in South Africa, the birthplace of diamond mining. The Kareevlei Diamond mine consists of five known kimberlite pipes and produces diamonds of average value per carat. The Kareevlei Tenements are located in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa, approximately 100 kilometers northwest of the town of Kimberley. The Kareevlei license area covers approximately 3,000 hectares and hosts five known diamondiferous kimberlite pipes with a combined Inferred Resource of 10.4 million tons / 516,200 carats. The Company’s subsidiaries include Diamond Resources Proprietory Limited, Kareevlei Mining Proprietory Limited and BlueRock Management Services Limited. Diamond Resources Proprietory Limited and Kareevlei Mining Proprietory Limited are engaged in diamond mining.
