Profile Summary
Burgundy Diamond Mines Limited is an Australia-based premier independent global scale diamond company. The principal activities of the Company include operation of the 100% owned Ekati diamond mine located in Canada’s Northwest Territories, sale of rough diamonds through auctions held in Antwerp Belgium and sale of polished diamonds manufactured in Company’s cutting and polishing facility in Perth Australia. It is focused on the mining, production, cutting, polishing and sale of diamonds. Its segments include Rough Diamond and Polished Diamond. The Rough Diamond segment encompasses mining, sales, and marketing of rough diamonds. The Polished Diamond segment encompasses manufacturing, sales, and marketing of polished diamonds. Its Ekati diamond mine is located in the Lac de Gras region of the Northwest Territories of Canada, approximately 300 kilometers northeast of Yellowknife. The Ekati Mine property consists of 122 mining leases totaling about 113,485 hectares.
