Challenger Energy Group PLC is an Atlantic-margin energy company, with a focus on high-impact, global material exploration assets. Its portfolio of assets is focused on the Atlantic margin. Its portfolio is centered on high-impact exploration prospects located offshore Uruguay. It also includes legacy exploration assets in The Bahamas. The Company has two offshore exploration licenses, totaling 19,000 square kilometers (km2) (gross) and is partnered with Chevron on the AREA-OFF 1 block. Its blocks are AREA OFF-1 and AREA OFF-3. The AREA OFF-1 block is a large offshore block covering approximately 14,557 km2, located approximately 100 (kilometers) kms offshore Uruguay in water depths ranging from 80 meters to 1,000 meters. The AREA OFF-3 license covers an area of 13,252 km2 located in relatively shallow water depths (from 20 to 1,000 meters) approximately 100 kms off the Uruguayan coast. It is the 100% holder of four conjoined exploration licenses offshore The Bahamas.
