Downing Strategic Micro-Cap Investment Trust PLC is a United Kingdom-based closed-end investment company. The investment objective of the Company is to generate capital growth for shareholders over the long term, from a focused portfolio of micro-cap companies (those whose market capitalizations are under British Pound 150 million at the time of investment) targeting a compound return of 15% per annum over the long term. The Company intends to invest in the United Kingdom publicly quoted companies that are defined by the investment manager as micro-cap. It is focused on a portfolio of strategic investments. The Company will have between 12 and 18 individual investments, and holding between 3% and 25% in the equity of any one company. Downing LLP serves as investment manager to the Company.
