Profile Summary
Hungarian State Treasury is a central government entity primarily responsible for financing and settlement of the state budget, as well as for management of the guarantees and the loans granted by the state of Hungary. Also, the Treasury delivers financial services, executes central salary calculation, manages tender grants and is responsible for regularity audit in the municipal government subsystem, as well as for maintenance of the registry of budgetary organizations and the registry of commercial companies. The Treasury carries out European Union agricultural and rural development paying agency activities, as well as certain tasks related to domestic rural development support. The financial services include accounting on revenues and expenditures of central budget, also the Treasury provides investment and ancillary investment services to debt securities issued by the state, performs execution, cash flow and control tasks, among others.
