Imara Gold Plc, formerly Caracal Gold plc, is a United Kingdom-based gold producer. The Company's principal activity is exploration, development, and mining of gold in Kenya and Tanzania. It operates through three segments, namely Kenya, Tanzania, and United Kingdom. The Company's projects include Kilimapesa Gold Project and Nyakafuru Gold Project. Its Kilimapesa Gold Mine is located on the prolific Migori Greenstone Gold Belt in Southwest Kenya, covering a total surface area of about 586,600 kilometers. The mine consists of two open pits and an underground mine consisting of 4 adits. Its Nyakafuru Gold Project is located within the Nyanzian System of the Lake Victoria Gold Fields in the northern part of the Archaean Tanzania Craton. Its Nyakafuru Gold Project has 11 granted exploration licenses over 280-kilometer square (km2) with four key deposit areas-Voyager, Mentelle, Cullen, Leeuwin-Grange-and other exploration targets.
