Profile Summary
Petro River Oil Corp. is an independent energy company. The Company is focused on the exploration and development of conventional oil and gas assets. The Company's holdings are in the mid-continent region in Oklahoma; Kern County, California, and Larne Basin, Northern Ireland. The Company also holds indirect onshore and offshore acreage positions in Denmark and Dorset, the United Kingdom. The Company, through investment in Horizon Energy Partners, LLC (Horizon Energy), owns interest in Petroleum License PL 1/10 and P2123 (the Larne Licenses) located in the Larne Basin in Northern Ireland. The two Larne Licenses, one onshore and one offshore, together covered approximately 130,000 acres, as of April 30, 2016. The Denmark project is an underexplored oil basin with the oil and gas fields offshore in Norway and the United Kingdom. The Kern County field has produced over 100 million barrels of oil and natural gas equivalents.
