Philly Shipyard ASA is a Norway-based holding company and an operating subsidiary in Philadelphia, PA, USA. The Company operates as a shipbuilder that is presently pursuing a mix of commercial and government work. It possesses a modern shipbuilding facility and has earned a reputation as a preferred provider of ocean-going merchant vessels with a track record of delivering quality ships. Its Government project provides ships from the National Defense Reserve Fleet (NDRF) as training vessels for the six state maritime academies. Its Commercial Project delivers vessels including container ships, product tankers, and Aframax tankers to clients such as Matson Navigation Company, Crowley Maritime, American Shipping Company, SeaRiver Maritime, and Kinder Morgan. Philly Shipyard also offers services and capabilities for maintenance, repair, overhaul, and conversion (MROC) jobs.
