Rafinaria Astra Romana SA is a Romania-based company primarily involved in the crude oil refining. The Company manufactures refined petroleum products. The Company operates two technological lines. The Company’s first technological line is used to process indigenous oil and imported crude oil with low sulfur content. Its second technological line is used to process indigenous selected naphthenic oil. The Company has facilities for product storage, as well as loading and unloading facilities for the railway and road transport means. As of December 31, 2011, the Company held a 66.72% stake in New Century Development Srl and a 100% stake in Astra Soferi Amatori SA. As of December 31, 2011, Kreyton Limited Road Town Tortola VGB held a 48% stake in the Company and Kalatse Investments Limited held a 41.66% stake in Rafinaria Astra Romana SA. On June 23, 2014, the Prahova Court opened insolvency procedures for the Company.
