Sony Financial Group Inc is a Japan-based financial holding company mainly engaged in the life insurance business. The Company operates through three segments. The Life Insurance Business segment operates the life insurance business. The life insurance business provides custom-made life insurance based on detailed consulting by life planners (sales representatives) and partners (sales agents). The Non-Life Insurance Business segment operates non-life insurance business. The Non-Life Insurance Business segment provides automobile insurance, fire insurance, medical insurance, and other products via the internet and telephone. The Banking Business segment operates banking business, and others. The banking business provides deposits (yen and foreign currencies), home loans, investment trusts, foreign exchange margin trading, other services via the internet. Other businesses include nursing care services and venture capital operations.
