WH Smith PLC is a global retailer for travel essentials with a presence across over 30 countries. Its segments include UK, North America and Rest of the World and Other. It offers a range of food and beverages, health and beauty, books and tech essentials across a range of locations from airports and hospitals to rail stations and motorway service areas. It operates in over 1,200 stores, comprising 590 UK stores, 360 stores in North America and 320 stores across its Rest of the World business. Its Rest of the World business operates 320 stores across countries in Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and India. In the UK, it operates stores in travel locations and hospitals, with stores ranging in size from 90 square feet to more than 6,000 square feet. It operates a range of own brand and partner store formats offering a variety of travel essentials to support customers’ journeys. Its brands include Smith’s Family Kitchen, WHSmith, Marks & Spencer Simply Food, Costa Coffee and others.
