Sumitomo Chemical Co Ltd is a Japan-based company that operates the chemical business. The Company has five segments. Essential & Green Materials segment manufactures and sells synthetic resins, raw materials for synthetic fibers, industrial chemicals, methacrylate, processed synthetic resin products, aluminum and alumina and synthetic rubber. Advanced Medical Solutions segment handles process development and contract manufacturing for pharmaceuticals and others. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) & Mobility Solutions segment handles optical products, semiconductor process materials, compound semiconductor materials, touch sensor panels, chemical products, engineering plastics and battery materials. Agro & Life Solutions segment handles agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, agricultural materials, pest control insecticides and materials for tropical disease control. Sumitomo Pharma segment handles small molecule pharmaceuticals. The Company also provides other businesses.
