Aerostar SA is a Romania-based company primarily engaged in the aerospace and defense industry. The Company is mainly involved in the manufacture of aircrafts. The Company divides its business into four main segments: Defense Systems, which include aerospace, terrestrial and integrated systems; Aviation Products, which comprise parts, aerostructures and aircraft subassemblies; Commercial Aircraft Maintenance, and Products and Services, which are provided by the Company in the fields of civil electronics, special processes and utilities. The Company distributes its products nationally and abroad. As of December 31, 2011, the Company had two subsidiaries, Airpro Consult SRL and Foar SRL, and one affiliated company, Aerostar Transporturi Feroviare SA.
