The Company owns and operates a portfolio of stabilized apartment communities. The Company owns a portfolio of approximately 96 apartment communities with over 26,422 apartment homes. Its properties are located in several markets in the United States, primarily Boston; Philadelphia; Greater Washington, D.C.; Miami; Denver; the San Francisco Bay Area; Los Angeles; and San Diego. The Company operates through two segments: Same Store and Other Real Estate. Its Same Store segment includes communities that are owned and managed by Company. Its Other Real Estate segment includes communities that do not meet the criteria to be classified as Same Store.
