Profile Summary
Besra Gold Inc. is a gold mining company focused on exploration and development of the Bau Goldfield in East Malaysia. The Company controls, directly and indirectly, a 98.5% interest of the Bau Gold Project. The Bau Gold Project is located 30 kilometers (km)- 40 km from Kuching, the capital city of the State of Sarawak, Malaysia, on the island of Borneo and centered on the township of Bau. This project lies at the western end of an arcuate metalliferous belt extending through the island of Borneo. The mining interests extend across tenements covering approximately 1,340 square kilometers (km2) of Sarawak; the Bau project (consisting of Blocks A and B), Rawan and Serian (Block C) areas. Its Bekajang Project lies along a prospective trend that includes two historical mine sites. Its Jugan Project is located approximately 6 km northeast of the Bau township. Contained within the Pedawan Formation, the mineralization is shallowest across a local topographic high-Jugan Hill.
