Botala Energy Limited is an Australia-based coal bed methane (CBM) exploration and development company. It is focused on developing production from its 100% owned Serowe CBM Project located in a high-grade CBM region of Botswana (and related early-stage renewable energy opportunities). It is focused on developing the Serowe CBM Project and to commercialize the project due to the demand for stable power supply in Botswana. The Serowe Project near the town of Serowe in the Central District of Botswana consists of 420,000 hectares of prospecting licenses in the Karoo-Kalahari Basin. It has identified an independently certified 2C Resource of 454 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the immediate vicinity of 11 wells drilled within these tenements. It is also focused on Project Pitse, which is a 4-Pilot Well program around the Serowe 3-1 well. Its subsidiaries include Sharpay Enterprises (Pty) Ltd, Botsgas Botswana (Pty) Ltd, BotsHydrogen (Pty) Ltd, and Botala Renewables (Pty) Ltd, among others.
