Profile Summary
Wellard Limited is an Australia-based supplier of livestock vessels and livestock. The Company’s core business is chartering purpose-built, medium, and large livestock vessels to international exporters and importers who want their livestock to arrive at their destination fit and healthy. Its Chartering segment is engaged in the business of livestock transportation required to deliver livestock globally. Its Other segment consists of trading and corporate services. Trading refers to the business of livestock marketing, buying livestock from multiple sources for export to buyers in international markets globally. It also connects primary producers of cattle, sheep, and other livestock to customers globally. It designs and builds its own vessels to avoid the compromises in the design that retrofitting an existing ship requires. The Wellard fleet consists of MV Ocean Drover, and MV Ocean Ute. The MV Ocean Drover is a livestock carrier, with advanced ventilation, feed, and water systems.
