Profile Summary
Mainova AG is a Germany-based multi-utility company providing electricity, natural gas, water, and heat to the city of Frankfurt am Main in Germany, and in the Rhine-Main region of Germany. The Company also supplies natural gas to further cities and towns in Hesse, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Bavaria, and Baden-Wuerttemberg. It divides its business activities into seven segments. The Renewable Energies/Energy Services segment includes biomass, wind energy and Photovoltaic systems. The segments Energy Supply, Natural Gas Supply, Water Supply and Heat Supply are engaged in trading, acquisition, allocation, transportation, distribution, and related services. The Investments segment includes all the Company's subsidiaries consolidated at equity that are not engaged in heat/energy generation. The Other activities segment comprises non-core activities of the Company, including related services and services for third parties.
