GENETEC CORPORATION is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the contract development of embedded software and hardware systems. The Company operates through two business segments. The System Development segment provides productivity technologies such as analysis, design and evaluation for embedded software development related to embedded devices such as mobile communications, car electronics and digital home appliances. The Engineering Solutions segment is involved in the acquisition, sale and support of the exclusive distributorship in Japan of the 3D computer-aided design (CAD) / computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software Mastercam. The Company is also involved in the research and development on the automatic location information notification system Kokodayo at the time of disaster.
