The Company divides its investments into two categories, namely strategic investments and portfolio investments. Its strategic investments include companies, including Paraytec Limited (Paraytec), Kirkstall Limited, Autins Group plc, Aukett Swanke Group plc and Image Scan Group plc. Paraytec develops specialist detectors for the analytical and life sciences instrumentation markets. Kirkstall Limited operates in the organ-on-a-chip market where it has developed Quasi Vivo, a system of chambers for cell and tissue culture in laboratories. Autins Group plc specializes in solving acoustic and thermal problems in the automotive industry and other specialist applications. Aukett Swanke Group plc provides architectural and interior design services in the primary international market sectors of offices, residential, education, industrial, hospitality and mixed use or hybrid developments.
