Gakken Holdings Co Ltd is a Japan-based company operates education and medical welfare. It has two segments. Education segment operates three businesses. Classroom and cram school business operates classrooms and preparatory schools and publishes and sells teaching materials and assessments. Publishing content business issues and sells publications, operates e-learning programs, online English conversation services, experiential English learning facilities, and sells training content and services. Preschool and school business plans, produces, purchases, and sells publications, childcare supplies, play equipment and others, designs facilities and equipment, and plans, produces and sells textbooks, teacher guides and others. Medical Welfare segment is engaged in elderly housing business, dementia group home business, and childcare support business. It also engaged in logistics, related system operation and business outsourcing, and the provision of group specialized services.
